Strike Resolution

Strikes appear when YouTube detects a violation of its Community Guidelines or a valid copyright claim from a rights holder. Common causes include reused content, copyrighted music or footage, misleading metadata, harmful or dangerous acts, hateful content, or repeated minor violations.

You can receive up to three copyright strikes before your channel is terminated. Each strike stays on your account for 90 days from the time you complete Copyright School.

Three active copyright strikes result in the termination of your YouTube channel: all videos are removed and you are prevented from creating new channels.
